SUMMARY:General Membership Meeting – May 9\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our General Membership Meeting on Saturday\, May 9th\, 9:00AM to approximately 1:00PM. The meeting will be at the Live Oak Grange\, 120 Gardiner Street\, Rogue River\, OR. We welcome anyone with an interest in quilts in all their forms and at all skill levels. \n8:45 – Sign-In Table opens 15 minutes earlier than normal to accommodate members wanting to attend the Early Bird Class. At the Sign-In Table you can: \n\nPick up your ticket for door prizes\nEnter the emoticon drawing (look for it in the current newsletter)\nGet a ticket for each “purple” fat quarter you turn in (including lavender\, lilac\, violet\, orchid\, \, etc.)\nGet a copy of the latest newsletter\, meeting agenda\, and Treasurer’s reports.\n\nJust past the Sign-In Table is the Block Party display. Turn in your “Lucky Horseshoe & Flowers” appliqué blocks and/or your “Churn Dash” pieced blocks that were presented at the January meeting. Across the room is the Quilts of Valor display where you can turn in blocks or quilts you made (just remember to put your name on each QOV item). You can also pick up a pattern or kit for the next QOV project. \n9:00 – Early Bird Class. Ruthe Garagnon is will be demonstrating zipper Pouches.  Please note the class is starting a half hour earlier than usual (9:00 instead of 9:30). \n10:45 – Lunch is potluck.  Bring a dish to share with the other attendees. As always\, regular and decaf coffee will be available plus hot water and tea bags for those who prefer that. \n11:15 – Business Meeting begins. It includes presentations from the Board and Committee Chairs plus drawings for door prizes\, emoticon\, fat quarters\, and Block Party. \n12:00 (approx.) – Speaker/Presentation.  (To be announced later.) \n12:45 (approx.) – Show and Tell. This will immediately follow the Speaker Presentation. Bring your latest creations to show to the group and remember to state your name when you come up on the stage so we can give you credit when we post the photos of your quilt on the website under Show & Tell. \nAt the conclusion of the meeting we ask that you help put away the tables and chairs (all beige chairs must be stacked on the east side of the room). \nIf you aren’t already a member of our guild and you’re interested in joining\, we have information available at the Sign-In table.
