DESCRIPTION:Date & Time: Friday\, March 10\, 2022\, 9am to 4pm. (This is a 1-day class but you can attend a second day for an additional fee). \nDescription:  The Starbaby layout includes foundation papers to make (4) 16” blocks that create a small lonestar. The pattern was designed by Judy and Bradley Niemeyer and creates an introductory pattern that can be completed in just a few hours and used to learn basic paper piecing techniques that can be applied to many other Lone Star projects. \nThere are enough papers in this pattern to make (2) Starbaby wall quilts. And replacement papers are available if you want to try out one of the larger layouts. \nWhat You Will Learn in This Class:  Judy Niemeyer’s unique Organization\, Stacking and Cutting Techniques\, Floating Points\, Paper piecing templates and tutorial. \nPattern: Judy Niemeyer’s Star Baby. $20.50 \nSize: 32” x 32” inches or 40” x 40” with border. \nFabric:  Prior to the introductory session\, review the pattern and select the required fabric. You are working with nine (9) 2.5-inch strips for the star (colors may repeat – create the look you want with your color selection). \nSupplies: \n\nSewing Machine\, power cord\, foot peddle\, ¼ – inch foot or ability to adjust to a 1/4-inch\, new needle (recommend size 70 microtex (sharp) or 80 microtex (sharp).\nThread to blend with your fabrics\nRotary cutter\, small mat\, and ruler. (Make sure you have a good blade)\nSeam ripper\nFlower Head pins\nScissors small\nGlue-stick (water soluble) and glue pen and repositionable glue (the instructor will have some available.)\nScotch tape\nGallon plastic bag and paper clips\nIf you have a Purple “Thang” or stiletto bring it along.\nAdd-A-Quarter ruler (6” or 12” size)\n\nYou also need a folding temple when you work.  The instructor will have this for you. \nTo Register:  You can obtain the registration form (with pricing information) by clicking here.
