SUMMARY:General Membership Meeting - September 9\, 2023
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our General Membership Meeting on Saturday\, September 9th from 9:30AM to 2:30PM. The meeting is held at Live Oak Grange\, 120 Gardiner Street\, Rogue River\, OR. \nSign-In Table opens at 9:00 AM.  Your 2023-2024 Member Badges and Membership Cards will be available for pickup at the Sign-In table!  We’ll also have copies of the new 2023-2024 Member Directory available for purchase at $2 each.  After you sign in you can pick up your ticket for door prizes\, enter the emoticon drawing\, receive a ticket for each “Leaves” fat quarter you turn in\, get a copy of the latest newsletter\, and pick up a copy of the meeting agenda. \nBlock Party is just past the Sign-In Table – don’t forget to turn in any “Sending Flowers” application blocks and/or “Bear Paw” pieced blocks you made for Block Party.  And on the other side of the room you can turn in items for Quilts of Valor (remember to put your name on each QOV item). \nEarly Bird class will begin at 9:30 AM in the room adjacent to the kitchen where Patty Quinowski will be teaching hand embroidery techniques. \nLunch at 11:00 AM will be potluck this time so bring something yummy to share with the other members and guests! \nBusiness Meeting begins immediately following lunch and includes presentations from the Board and committee chairs plus drawings for door prizes\, Block Party\, etc. That will be immediately followed by the Featured Speaker – Helene Knott doing a presentation and trunk show. \nShow and Tell will round out the meeting with members showing one or more of their quilts to the group. \nWe welcome anyone with an interest in quilts in all their forms – traditional\, modern\, and fiber art – and at all skill levels.
