SUMMARY:Mountain Stars Fall Retreat 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Fall 2023 retreat at Diamond Lake is set for Friday-Sunday\, September 22th through 24th. This retreat will offer participants time to work on their UFOs. \nThe link to register for the retreat is below and we encourage you to register early but NOT BEFORE JULY 1\, 2023. If you register prior to that date\, your check will be held until after July 1\, 2023. The cost is $40 for members\, $80 for non-members (which includes a Mountain Stars membership). \nJust to recap in case you are a newer member of MSQG\, the registration fee you pay to Mt. Stars pays for the sewing room rental\, a small subsidy for Saturday’s chair-massage therapist\, as well as actual costs of providing the retreat. The surplus goes into the Guild’s general fund\, allowing the Guild to subsidize some of the cost of providing world-class teachers each year. \nBack to retreat specifics\, you then pay for your own housing – most participants share a room rental with others or get a motel or kitchenette for themselves. To make your reservations just call the toll free number for Diamond Lake Resort\, 1-800-733-7593 and remember to ask for the quilters discount. \nThe retreat begins about noon on Friday and you are welcome to stay as late on Sunday as you wish. We usually begin packing up the Guild supplies about 1:00 that afternoon but you do not have to leave when we do! The sewing room is upstairs at the main lodge\, overlooking the lake\, and couldn’t be more beautiful.  Friday night we have the traditional “Dutch Treat” dinner at the Diamond Lake Restaurant. Bring snacks to share and an item or two for the Potluck on Saturday during lunch. \nWe work to provide a relaxing and fun environment for you.
