We had a great turnout at the March 11, 2023 General Meeting – 82 attendees: 75 members plus 7 guests (4 of the guests became members). The guild provided a baked potato bar and a salad bar for lunch and Susan Birdsong demonstrated how to make an Amish Star hot pad (to use as a pot holder or trivet) at the Early Bird Class.
The featured presentation was a breathtaking Trunk Show by Sue Cunningham (a few photos are shown below).
We also saw some of the fun items created by members who participated in the “Making a Silk Purse Out of a Sow’s Ear” game/fabric swap at a prior meeting.
And Des Anthony was there to accept a check on behalf of Every Child of Jackson County (recipient of half the proceeds from the Opportunity Quilt fundraiser).
