Congratulations to Lisa Sobolik of Grants Pass, Oregon, the winner of the beautiful 2024 Opportunity Quilt ‘Midnight Stars’ from Starr Design.
It was stitched by members of Mountain Stars Quilters Guild and quilted by Carol Dickson, an award-winning quilter and member of MSQG.
The drawing for this 58″ x 71″ quilt was held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the conclusion of the guild’s biennial quilt show “The Spirit to Create” which took place at the Armory in Medford, Oregon.
All proceeds from the ticket sales went to benefit the Women’s Crisis Support Team, Grants Pass, Oregon (https://www.wcstjoco.org/). Since 1977 they have been the primary domestic violence and sexual assault agency in Josephine County and the surrounding communities. They serve 100-plus families per month fleeing violence and in need of safe shelter, information, and resources.
