Cathy Geier Workshop – Strip Applique Landscapes

Turn your scraps info landscapes, no piecing required! This is a great class for beginners and for quilters who like landscape quilts but never through they could make one. Students may choose to purchase my book, Lovely Landscape Quilts, at a greatly reduced price.

Cathy Geier is an award-winning quilter, author and lecturer whose specialty is landscape quilts. She earned her BA in art history from the University of Wisconsin,and sets up her landscapes with the eye of a painter who uses fabrics for her palette. She is the author of two books, Watercolor Landscape Quilts, and Lovely Landscape Quilts. She owns and manages an online quilt shop called Patchworks that Praise, specializing in fabrics for landscape quilting. She has invented and patented a piecing technique using a tear-away foundation, which she then adapted as a strategy for sewing strip and string pieced landscapes.
