Spring 2024 Coast Retreat
March 1 - March 3
The March 2024 retreat at Smith River, California is set for Friday-Sunday, March 1st through 3rd. This retreat will offer participants time to work on their UFOs.
Registration forms will be available at guild meetings or you can use this link to the Registration Form for the March 2024 Smith River, CA Retreat if you want to obtain the form ahead of time then either bring it to a meeting or mail it to the address on the form. We encourage you to register early. The cost is $50 for members, $90 for non-members. The non-member fee includes the $50 retreat fee, $30 for MSQG guild membership dues, and a $10 processing fee.
As a reminder, your registration fee covers the cost of the sewing room rental, a small subsidy for Saturday’s chair-massage therapist, as well as actual costs of providing the retreat. If there is any surplus, it goes into the Guild’s general fund, allowing the Guild to subsidize some of the cost of providing world-class teachers each year.
Don’t forget to call the Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel (855-487-3777) to make your hotel room reservations and remember to ask for the MSQG Quilter’s Discount! You must call to get the discount because it’s not available if you make your reservation online or through another service. There are a limited number of rooms at the discounted prices so make your reservations early. Please be aware that each room will have an additional $100 deposit for incidentals that will come back after checkout!
The retreat begins on Friday and you’re welcome to stay as late on Sunday as you wish. We usually begin packing up the Guild supplies about 1:00 PM that afternoon but you don’t have to leave when we do! Friday night we have the traditional “Dutch Treat” dinner. Remember to bring snacks to share and an item or two for the Potluck on Saturday lunch.
