Machine Embroidery Group (MEG)

The Mountain Stars Quilters Guild (MSQG) Machine Embroidery Group (MEG) is dedicated to the art of machine embroidery in all forms. MEG meets regularly, one Saturday per month (usually the 4th or 5th Saturday of the month) to share techniques and tips, practice new skills, and share accomplishments. MEG includes those new to machine embroidery as well as those more experienced and skilled.

What you can expect when you attend a MEG meeting?

  • Meetings are held from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. You can join the meeting for an hour or the day.
  • The meetings are held in Shady Cove next to the beautiful Rogue River at the home retreat center of a MSQG Member.
  • Attendees are welcome to bring their machine and project(s) or attend without their machine to ask questions or share their expertise.
  • Members supply their own embroidery machine, supplies, and materials based on their projects.
  • Everyone shares their knowledge and experience. If you need assistance on a project there are numerous experienced embroiderers to help you.
  • Persons new to machine embroidery are given help in learning the basics of machine embroidery. We want to eliminate the intimidation/fear of machine embroidery.
