Machine Embroidery Group (MEG) Meeting – September 28, 2024

The MEG project for September is Trapunto in the hoop.  There are several sites that may have Trapunto designs you can purchase (Embroidery Library, Kimberbell, OESD, Sweet Pea, and Designs by JuJu to name just a few.)

If you decide to purchase a project, be sure to print the instructions & supply list indicated for the design you choose.  Some companies have recommendations as to stabilizers and other materials.

This is a fun and simple project that you’ll enjoy.  The following is a general supply list for this project if they’re not supplied with your design:

1. Standard embroidery machine supplies
2. Trapunto machine embroidery design
3. 1/4″ to 3/8″ thick batting or high loft batting (depending on how you want your trapunto to look).
4. Fabric for your trapunto project front and back
5. Medium weight cutaway stabilizer or OESD Fuse and Fleece
6. Temporary adhesive spray
7. Tear-Away Tape
8. Thread for your project

As always, you are not required to do the project – instead feel free to bring something else you want to do or learn.
