Sheila Sinclair Snyder – Barn Quilt Painting

May 1 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

PLEASE NOTE: This class will be given twice – once on Friday, May 1st, then again the following day, Saturday, May 2nd. YOU CAN STILL REGISTER FOR THE  SATURDAY CLASS BUT THE FRIDAY CLASS IS NOW FULL. Registration is first come, first served and the post mark date on your registration will be used as your registration date since mail comes in sooner from some areas than others. If you’d like to be added to the Wait List for Friday’s class, please contact Lisa Marie Sobolik, Education Chair, (lisamariesobolik@att.net).

Have you ever taken a drive and noticed a beautiful painted Quilt Block on the front of a home or the side of an old barn? Join Sheila for a day of painting your very own 2ft x 2ft Barn Quilt. She will have 50-60 block patterns for you to choose from. Your finished Barn Quilt will be waterproof and weatherproof! Full instructions on how to enlarge a quilt block to size, how to tape, paint and finish your personalized Barn Quilt will be included.

Class fee is $65.00 for MSQG Members if paid for by March 14, 2026, $70.00 after. Class fee for non-members is $75.00 if paid by March 14, 2026 and $80.00 after. Space is limited.

There is a REQUIRED KIT for this class. It includes the board, all the various paint colors and general supplies that are needed to create a Barn Quilt. Protective disposable aprons will also be provided!  The kit fee is $55 for MSQG members and $80 for non-MSQG members. Payment for the kit is due on the day of class and will be paid directly to Sheila. She accepts cash, checks, debit/credit cards and Venmo for the kits. (Kit fee for members is less because it is being partially paid by MSQG from the Education budget.)

To Register:  You can obtain the registration form (with pricing information) by clicking here.  Just print and complete the form then mail it along with your payment to the address on the form. Your payment MUST accompany your registration.

NOTE: There will be a 30 minute lunch break. You’re welcome to bring your own lunch or pick up something locally.

Sheila is well known throughout the Pacific Northwest quilting world as a designer, author and teacher. She has specialized over the years in teaching one-day projects that allow each student to take home a finished piece. Recently Sheila has been focused on Barn Quilt Painting. She continues to design and make quilts, and just released her fourth book called The Barn Quilt Manual. When not quilting you will find her teaching, cooking, gardening and spending time with the family which includes her husband, two grown children and their spouses, and two amazing grandchildren. Sheila says there isn’t enough time in a day to accomplish all the things on her list!
