Machine Embroidery Group (MEG) July Meeting

In July we are going to be trying our hand at making free standing lace projects with our machines. Freestanding lace projects can be just as the name implies, lace objects that can stand without other material to give them support. Think of a lace angel on top of a tree, or snowflake ornaments. We might just be adding a lace edging to a napkin/s or a lace design on a pant leg. Essentially it is a design that is made completely out of thread or most of it is made with thread, sometimes we add organza or tulle. Everyone will choose their own project. If you’ve never seen this done, come just to watch, as we make magic!
If you’d like to try out these skills, DON’T BE AFRAID! We’ll be here to help you with each step. From figuring what design to choose, how to get it off the computer and on to a “thumb-drive”, setting up your machine (including what thread to buy) and what stabilizer to put in your hoop! YOU CAN DO THIS! Registration form is below.
Of course you don’t have to do the projects, bring whatever you want to do or just come to watch! Come for the whole day or just part of the day! Mail your registration form to Karen, or bring your form to the meeting! Can’t wait to see you!
