Anna DeHoog ~ Beginning Paper Piecing (using the freezer paper technique!)

March 10, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Paper piecing is a wonderful technique that allows an inexperienced quilter to create intricate and beautiful designs. The only issue is that you have to tear out all of those tiny, tiny pieces of paper.

With the freezer paper technique, you don’t sew through the paper – you fold back the template and sew through the fabric only. There’s no tearing of paper! And you can use the paper pattern over and over again.

Come and learn a new skill in this technique class.

Instructor Anna DeHoog has been sewing since early childhood. She purchased her first sewing machine in 1992 and made her first quilt – which promptly fell apart.

An avid learner, Anna has taken many classes over the past 30 years and honed her quilting skills. One of her favorite techniques is to convert paper piecing patterns to freezer paper patterns – making the project so much simpler.
