Machine Embroidery Group (MEG)

The inaugural meeting of the Machine Embroidery Group (MEG) took place on Saturday, May 20th and was a huge success! Meetings are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and are held at the Scottish Rite Center in Medford, right behind Hobby Lobby. The address is 3581 Lear Way.

If you plan to attend a meeting and embroider, please complete a registration form. From the menu at the top of this webpage, click on MSQG EVENTS / MACHINE EMBROIDERY. However, if you haven’t registered and find yourself with nothing to do or had a change in plans, please feel free to come and join us. We can sign you up when you arrive (the fee is $15) and bring any project you’d like to do! We usually have a “learning” project planned but you can also bring your own project and we’re available to help you with it – from the planning stage to the finished design. You can even come without an embroidery machine!

FOR THE NEWBIES: Remember that you MUST know how to thread your machine and insert a thumb drive and hoop in your machine. There may be someone at the gathering that will know how to work your machine but we can’t guarantee it! Also it’s a good idea to bring the manual that came with your machine. And remember to bring a heavy duty electrical cord.

Bring your own lunch, drinks, and snacks (or there are places nearby to buy food and drinks).

The MEG meeting dates for the remainder of 2023 are July 29th, August 26th, September 30th, October 28th, November 18th, and tentatively December 16th. As each meeting date approaches, the particulars and a registration for will be available on this website under MSQG EVENTS / MACHINE EMBROIDERY.
