MSQG Community Quilt Fund

Mountain Star Quilt Guild was founded in 1983 with the express purpose of promoting the art of quilting and to encourage a high standard of design and technique in all its various forms. In addition, the purpose of the guild is also to foster goodwill and to be attentive to the needs of our community.

In that spirit the board of directors has created the Community Quilt Fund.

The fund is created with the intent purpose of allowing local organizations to apply for funds that meet the above referenced Guild Purpose Statement.

The amount of funds designated to the fund will be determined annually by the board and approved by the membership through the guild budget.

Guidelines:
-Application must be completed and submitted to the Guild Community Liaison.
-Liaison will submit the application to the board for approval at the next board meeting.
-Funds up to $250 per application will be considered for approval per application.
-An applicant may submit an application more than one time in a fiscal year however, previous awards will be considered.
-Applicants must be a recognized organization – not an individual
-Funds must be used for the express purpose of giving back to the community through the art of quilting.
