Spring 2024 Diamond Lake Retreat

The Spring 2024 retreat at Diamond Lake is set for Friday-Sunday, April 26th through 28th. This retreat will offer participants time to work on their UFOs.
Registration forms will be available at guild meetings or you can use this link Registration Form for the April 2024 Diamond Lake Retreat if you want to obtain the form ahead of time then either bring it to a meeting or mail it to the address on the form. We encourage you to register early. The cost is $40 for members, $80 for non-members. The non-member fee includes the $40 retreat fee, $30 for MSQG guild membership dues, and a $10 processing fee.
As a reminder, your registration fee covers the cost of the sewing room rental, a small subsidy for Saturday’s chair-massage therapist, as well as actual costs of providing the retreat. If there is any surplus, it goes into the Guild’s general fund, allowing the Guild to subsidize some of the cost of providing world-class teachers each year.
Back to retreat specifics. You pay for your own housing – most participants share a room rental with others or get a motel or kitchenette for themselves. To make your reservations just call the toll free number for Diamond Lake Resort, 1-800-733-7593 and remember to ask for the quilters discount. The discount is not available if you make your reservation online or through another service.
The retreat begins on Friday and you’re welcome to stay as late on Sunday as you wish. We usually begin packing up the Guild supplies about 1:00 PM that afternoon but you don’t have to leave when we do! The sewing room is upstairs at the main lodge, overlooking the lake, and couldn’t be more beautiful. Friday night we have the traditional “Dutch Treat” dinner at the Diamond Lake Restaurant. Bring snacks to share and an item or two for the Potluck on Saturday lunch.
